Rodair Participates in Golf to Conquer Cancer
Jun 02 2014

On June 16th Rodair is proud to be participating as a Gold Level Sponsor in the inaugural Golf to Conquer Cancer Event, hosted at Coppinwood Golf Club by Harry Rosen. This best-in-class event links philanthropy with the entrepreneurial spirit and philosophy of business to support one of the top five cancer research centres in the world: The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Research has shown that 45% of men and 40% of women are expected to develop cancer within their lifetime. With a strong history of excellence in research, development and innovation, The Princess Margaret Centre is fighting hard to help – it is the largest cancer program in Canada, and is well known for its world leading clinical trials program which has an unprecedented number of patients enrolled (over 7000 people). This world class centre is also leading the way in Personalised Cancer Medicine and in Immune Therapy, and holds a number of medical firsts, including, developing the chemotherapy protocol for lung cancer, and most notably, the discovery of stem cells. As leaders in cancer care, The Princess Margaret delivers breakthrough innovations and the highest quality care, and we’re thrilled to be supporting this fantastic centre.

This traditional four player ‘Best Ball’ tournament allows teams to spend a day on the green in one of Canada’s top private golf courses, with a number of unique benefits for each participant – including the chance to bid at auction for an exclusive PGA Tour Golf Experience at the 2015 Masters Golf Tournament.

Note: Foursomes for the event have now sold out.

“We have witnessed so many advances in cancer care in the last twenty years as a result of innovation in research and clinical practice. The Princess Margaret is a leaderin this innovation and we could not achieve the results we do without the support from event participants and donors. Thank you for playing Golf to Conquer Cancer.”
